PBS Bringing Video Games Live Concert to TV
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Wed, 06/09/2010 - 19:30As you may have noticed, I’m a bit of a video game fan. I don’t get to play as much as I might like, and the games I played as a youth will always be better than the games that are put out today.
Weekly Blend #228 - MacGru Who?
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Mon, 05/24/2010 - 06:38The pittance that MacGruber made at the box office shows that the SNL skit wasn't quite read for a feature film.
The (Really) Delayed Lost: What Kate Does
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Sat, 03/13/2010 - 22:50As mentioned on the podcast, Rafe’s move away from satellite television and to “peasant TV” has cost him ABC. Each week he’ll give a review/response to the latest episode of Lost as the series wraps up its final season, but that response will be a bit delayed (a lot delayed) since he doesn’t get to see it the night it airs.
Jeff's Five & Dime: Special Super Bowl Commercial Episode
Submitted by Jeff Clark on Mon, 02/08/2010 - 14:22If there is one thing both guys and girls are doing this post-Super Bowl week, it's talking commercials. The advertisements have reached the level equaling the importance of the actual game itself. Being the resident “jock” of the staff here at Wide Screen Warrior, I could easily dissect the game and tell you how the Saints won it or how Payton Manning blew his shot at a second ring.

First off let me state this is not a “best of” list, for there are too many good shows for me to have time to watch and judge, and there are many shows that I know others really love that I just have no interest in watching. This is also not an all encompassing list, just pretty much a list of shows I (or my fiancé) saw some or all of and what I thought about them.
Why I Won't Be Watching V Tonight
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Tue, 11/03/2009 - 10:59November is a sweeps month, which means it’s a new opportunity for networks to unveil their next big thing, as well as promote their existing hit shows with special guest star appearances and “very special” storylines, all in the mindset of winning the most viewers and being the network to come out on top.
Olympic Games Cost Lost its Uninterrupted Run
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Tue, 10/27/2009 - 20:05For a couple of years now, Lost fans have had to endure a trade-off. After several seasons of erratic running schedules filled with random repeats and interruptions, the series finally got a reprieve and moved into the realm of an uninterrupted run.
Caprica Finds a Few Reoccurring Guest Stars
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Wed, 08/19/2009 - 19:08SyFy’s Caprica is really filling up with well known actors - something I wouldn’t have expected from the Battlestar Galactica prequel. We’re only halfway through the week and already two big names have been announced for multiple episode appearances, which is an optimistic casting for a series whose pilot movie hasn’t received the best reception.
Darabont Bringing Zombies To TV?
Submitted by Rafe Telsch on Wed, 08/12/2009 - 08:14You have to love a director like Frank Darabont. The writer/director has been behind several of my favorite dramas, one of which very well might be my favorite film of all time (The Shawshank Redemption), but then he can turn around and do something campy like The Mist.
