Up to this point, our stroll through Heroic Firelands has been fairly smooth, for the most part.  Well, get ready for some surprise speed bumps, as the last three bosses are easily the hardest of the bunch, as we start drifting away from a simple new mechanic or two and begin seeing radical changes to the encounters as a whole.  Large sections of old strategies may very well be invalidated going... 

For anyone who’s been watching the PTR, you know that the next patch (and subsequently, the next tier of raiding) is fast approaching, leaving precious little time to power through the rest of Heroic Firelands before it becomes obsolete in the face of entirely new challenges.  Fortunately, we already have a solid progression foothold on that front.  With two bosses down and only five to go, it’s... 

Can’t get enough of Firelands?  Well, there might be something wrong with you, but I’m not here to judge.  I can, however, help you get your fix.  Once more into the orange and red breach this week, with the intention of grinding a second heroic boss into a pile of dust and a few loot-shaped wedges.  This one might seem a bit out of order at first, but Majordomo Staghelm is an excellent choice... 

Hopefully you’ve all enjoyed the break from Firelands.  It’s been a while, certainly, but it’s also hopefully provided some opportunity for quick and easy acquisition of gear, which is a rather crucial component of going forward from here.  Each Firelands boss has, of course, a souped-up Heroic version that pulls out all the stops in an effort to offer raiders some true cutting-edge challenges. ... 

Last week we started the grueling battle with Ragnaros; this week we aim to finish it. Hopefully the first phase and transition are firmly under your raid team’s belt at this point, as the fundamentals of the early stages of the encounter will remain constant throughout the fight. So let’s move forward, picking up with the second phase. Phase two begins much like phase one – tanks, DPS, and healers... 

All right, moment of truth. All of Firelands has led up to this point, to a showdown with Ragnaros (finally). So let’s cut straight to the point. This fight is complex. And long. And kind of a mess. Not to mention I personally haven’t seen the whole thing yet, which as you can imagine makes conveying a strategy somewhat difficult. But we’re going ahead with it anyway. Or at least a piece of it. Having done just that, proceed past the now-defeated Baleroc and get ready to face off against everyone’s favorite Druid of the Flame, Majordomo Staghelm. But of course it’s never that straightforward; trash is in the way, but it’s only a single... 

So, funny story. Last week I wrote a strategy for Alysrazor. And last weekend, after that article had been written, our guild finally killed Alysrazor for the first time. Up until now I haven’t covered a strategy until I’ve personally seen it succeed, but I felt this was a special case, as we had the right game plan for the encounter and simply needed the experience to pull it all together....
