Just for fun, we’re trying something different yet again, something perhaps a bit more straightforward than the complexity of last week’s dive into the Throne of the Four Winds. Our guild membership has changed a lot since the beginning of the Wrath expansion, and I don’t just mean the population, but also in the expectations we have as players. The first available Wrath raid was Naxxramas and it took us a long time to get ready for it. Eventually we ran Naxx as a guild, more or less – sometimes bringing in friends from outside the guild – and while... 

I know last week ended with the promise of more delightful places to find a fiery demise, but instead we’re going to mix it up. Besides, there’s more than one raid open right now, so why limit ourselves to just one? Changing raids also provides a nice change of pace for the raiding crew. New scenery, new challenges, and possibly new loot can all help motivate a group that’s hitting a barrier... 

I love raiding. As much stress as it is to organize it, and despite the headaches to be dealt with throughout the entire raiding season, the actual time spent in the raid with nine other people is almost always incredibly rewarding. The energy of an excited group of raiders stepping into new content, the process of learning new strategies and mechanics and how to play together as a team, the moment... 

Thanks to a busy schedule and an Internet outage during one of my windows of playtime, I didn’t get to visit Azeroth much this week, which is especially a shame as it means I’ve missed a week of the Lunar Festival.
