Donations Welcome

First up, let me say I'm not incredibly excited about putting this out there. We've always had a low key approach to the site. Advertising is minimal, as I prefer it to be. We've kept a small paragraph on the bottom of podcast pages, but otherwise we've tried to avoid panhandling. Of course, a minimalist approach also yields a minimalist response - not that anyone is complaining. None of us expect to make a living off of writing for the site, and the site isn't in any danger of being shut down or disappearing off the face of the earth. We've simply reached a point where a few donations would help. So we're putting this out there.

We've reached a point where site expenses are growing a little beyond the normal webspace and movie ticket point. The podcast could use some new equipment (microphones and a few cables) and there are a few elements I'd like to add to the site that take some professional know-how to implement. With the exception of the microphones, none of this is crucial though. As I said above, it's not like we're going to just disappear in a puff of vapor. The better we can make the site, however, the more it becomes a place all of us can enjoy.

So... donations are welcome from anyone who might have a couple extra dollars to chip in. If you don't have it, we certainly aren't expecting it, but if you like what we do, and you'd like us to continue doing it with the quality and pizzaz we've had in the past, we'd appreciate it if you could toss a couple of dollars our way. Just use the button below to donate through Paypal - a safe, secure method.

Margaret mentioned on the podcast we might figure out something special we can do for those who are kind enough to donate to our operation, whether it's having an upcoming episode sponsored by listeners or something of the like. She's pretty good at coming up with ideas, so while we have nothing to offer right now, I'm sure we'll come up with something.

Even if you aren't able to donate, or prefer not to, we appreciate you as a reader, listener, and part of our community!
