November 2009 Artist of the Month: John Cusack

Twenty years ago we fell in love with Lloyd Dobbler as he held his boom box over his head and professed his love in song to the tune of “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel. Two decades have passed and John Cusack still is making memorable performances across many genres. He has played a puppet master, a detective, an ordinary store owner, a hit man, a disgraced baseball star and, with the release this month of 2012, Cusack takes stab at leading man in an action film.

Cusack has never been one to take the convention role, playing mostly offbeat and underdog characters. With is wide variety of roles and parts, we cannot even dream of covering it all but we will attempt to break his body of work down and cover the basics.

As a celebrity he has shied away from the spotlight but this month we will shine the spotlight down on his career and dissect the good and the bad.
