Margaret's Trailer Park: The Losers

You ever want to see a movie about a couple of renegade cops/FBI agents/CIA operative whatevers who break bad on their own mission, do a bunch of stunts, run around with guns, and give a few comic relief jokes which are fairly lame and tiring? Me neither. Not only does the trailer for The Losers make the movie look completely formulaic, but also the trailer itself looks completely formulaic.

Based off a comic book series of the same name put out by Vertigo, while I can’t speak for the comic, the movie trailer quite frankly makes me want to yawn. If there’s one thing Hollywood is really good at it’s recycling the same material over and over for the same audience and this doesn’t appear to be any different. From boring wisecracks which are only half amusing, to the only female character being half naked for most of the shots she is in, this is not the kind of action film we know Hollywood is capable of. Of course she’ll hook up with one of the guys, because she’s the only girl. That’s what movies are for, right?

The Losers looks like another sad attempt at an action film where the general public will think it was a wild ride while anyone with an interest in film will moan and groan. It seems to be just another empty, mindless, popcorn stuffing, soda slurping, gosh, doesn’t that deserve to end up in the $5 used bin of the movie rental place down the street with the gum all over the carpets type movie. I’m sorry, if anyone is going to be The Losers it may just be the people who actually pay to see this on April 9th.
