Dear John - Write Your Own Review

It's another snowy weekend in Virginia. Let's be honest though: that's not the reason why we're not seeing Dear John. My wife, who has suddenly identified Channing Tatum and understands why girls go ga-ga over him, said she'd rather have her eyes ripped out then sit through a Nicholas Sparks adaptation. Let me clarify: this is a romance movie that happens to be coming out on the day of my wedding anniversary, a week before Valentine's Day, and there is zero interest from my beloved wife in seeing it. I think that fully sums up our feelings toward this film.

Maybe you're different - whether you're a teenaged girl in lust with Tatum, or a someone truly mawkish at heart who wants to sit through the sobs and suds story of romance between a soldier and a young girl. If you catch it, leave your review in the comments section below. Who knows, we might like it enough to make it the official Widescreen Warrior review for the movie. As for us, we'll enjoy being snowed in yet again, safely protected from Channing Tatum's acting by the frigid wasteland outside.
