Welcome back for a new season of Survivor. This season, the 24th for the series, finds a few new elements to bring into play, as well as some old ones. For instance, this is the first new season in a couple that sees no returning players. No Boston Rob. No Coach. No veterans whatsoever. This year’s Golden Globes took place on January 15th, 2012. There was mirth, laughter, and even a dog stealing the spotlight on stage as The Artist artists tried to give an acceptance speech. In my opinion, there is a hierarchy when it comes to reality television. Survivor, which requires a certain amount of stamina and physical and social skills, is toward the top of that hierarchy, particularly when they focus on helping out a good cause (like the seasons where they made obvious contributions to the Elizabeth Glaser foundation). The Apprentice is considerably lower on that hierarchy.... 

With “Afterbirth,” the season finale for American Horror Storie’s first year, the show ends 45 minutes in and then aimlessly, pointlessly meanders around for 15 minutes of epilogue.
