I have to confess, the first two attempts at writing a fair review for Limbo had me scratch the entire draft and start over. Limbo is a difficult game to describe, let alone fairly critique and attempt to draw mental images into your (the reader’s) mind due to the way the game itself plays tricks on the player as you progress throughout the bizarre experience. So, funny story. Last week I wrote a strategy for Alysrazor. And last weekend, after that article had been written, our guild finally killed Alysrazor for the first time. Up until now I haven’t covered a strategy until I’ve personally seen it succeed, but I felt this was a special case, as we had the right game plan for the encounter and simply needed the experience to pull it all together.... 

Let me clarify something up front first and foremost since I am not what one might consider a true football fan: I was born in Detroit, Michigan. The very same Detroit who (Ford Motor Company – go figure) owns a football team by the name of the Lions who have never won a Super Bowl, who went an entire season without winning a single game, and who also haven’t been in any form of championship game...

I can’t help but compare this game to the movie Starship Troopers. The front line soldiers killing bugs of all sorts? You do a great deal of bug killing to the point of absurdity. Almost. Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is a game from Japan which involves hordes upon hordes of alien bugs invading earth and you mow them down the best way you know how: raw firepower. Of course, the reality is that there’s never an end to drama, is there? There’s only degrees of it. Heh. And I suppose that’s what we do, as guild leaders, we manage drama. I mean, we manage people…. but what we’re really managing is their behaviors. We want everyone to be on an even keel, treating each other in a decent way, with a nice level of harmony, yes? We’ve still barely gotten started in the Firelands, and there are plenty of bosses left to dispatch, so we’re diving straight in this week with another new one: Shannox. Any groups who have ventured into the raid in the interest of clearing through trash have quite possibly already had an encounter with this boss.
