If there is one thing both guys and girls are doing this post-Super Bowl week, it's talking commercials. The advertisements have reached the level equaling the importance of the actual game itself. Being the resident “jock” of the staff here at Wide Screen Warrior, I could easily dissect the game and tell you how the Saints won it or how Payton Manning blew his shot at a second ring.

We’re barely into December and the marketing blitz has begun for what will easily be one of next year’s most anticipated movies. Iron Man 2 has a solid foundation to build upon, with an excellent first chapter. Now it adds the talent of Scarlet Johanssen, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, and Don Cheadle (replacing Terrence Howard).

Just in time for our artist of the month, John Cusack, a new edition of Say Anything was released today on DVD and Blu-ray. It’s a movie we’ll be talking about later in the month, but what I want to focus on today is the curious promotional event that happened in New York to celebrate the new release of this classic comedy.

The Brothers Bloom Gets A Theatrical Commentary Track

A couple of years ago, Kevin Smith announced that he was going to release a director’s commentary for Clerks II before the movie hit DVD. The idea was that you would download the commentary onto your iPod or mp3 player and take that into the movie theater with you, listening to the commentary as you enjoyed the movie on the big screen.
