Closing Tabs Tuesday: Hobbitless

Closing Tabs started as a weekly look at news we didn’t cover on the site throughout the week. As the site has grown, however, we’ve moved away from reporting most news (you can catch most of it regurgitated on other sites anyway) in favor of more original opinions and editorials.

Weekly Blend #229 - Very Scooby-Doo

Our title this week comes from Margaret's review of Sex and the City, which is how she describes a moment of plot resolution. Still, she is a lot more positive about the movie than most critics, just as Rafe is more positive about Prince of Persia.

Weekly Blend #228 - MacGru Who?

The pittance that MacGruber made at the box office shows that the SNL skit wasn't quite read for a feature film.

The (Really) Delayed Lost: What Kate Does

lostkate.jpg

As mentioned on the podcast, Rafe’s move away from satellite television and to “peasant TV” has cost him ABC. Each week he’ll give a review/response to the latest episode of Lost as the series wraps up its final season, but that response will be a bit delayed (a lot delayed) since he doesn’t get to see it the night it airs.

As mentioned on the podcast, Rafe’s move away from satellite television and to “peasant TV” has cost him ABC. Olympic Games Cost Lost its Uninterrupted Run

For a couple of years now, Lost fans have had to endure a trade-off. After several seasons of erratic running schedules filled with random repeats and interruptions, the series finally got a reprieve and moved into the realm of an uninterrupted run.

Weekly Blend #193 - Non-ic-Con 2009!

podcast193.jpg

We didn't go to San Diego for Comic-Con this year, instead opting to stay at home and celebrate our own Non-ic-Con. There may not be the cool guests or studio presentations, but the crowds are considerably smaller. We did get the chance to take in the latest releases, however, as well as talk to Miss March's Raquel Alessi.

Oceanic Flight 815 Gets Lost on Blu-ray

You would think someone like me would have as much high definition content as possible. While I did have HD cable for a little while, there just wasn’t enough offered there at the time to justify the cost, especially when there came a time that I was trying to cut costs. The only show I really regretted losing in HD was Lost.

This article features spoilers if you haven't seen the ending of Season 5 of Lost. We highly recommend you watch that first, then come back and read our predictions.
