You’ve heard Tim make his weekly predictions on our podcast, guessing how the box office numbers are going to play out as we discuss each week’s estimates. Now we’re putting them down in text just to see how good Tim’s track record winds up. Tune in each week as we compare Tim’s predictions against the actual numbers from the box office weekend, as Tim takes on the Box Office.

It’s been more than 7 years since we had our last slice of pie.  This weekend the franchise returns.  American Reunion, which touts the return of the entire original cast, should open up to $30+ million, taking the top spot.  The Hunger Games should remain strong and follow closely at #2.  The 3D release of James Cameron’s Titanic should muster up enough nostalgia for 3rd.  Titanic, after all, was the highest grossing movie of all time for quite some time.  Wrath of the Titans should drop enough to land in 4th, while the underwhelming Mirror Mirror, should fall to 5th.   Admittedly, I am a huge fan of the American Pie franchise, so my predictions could be skewed a bit.  I know what I’ll be seeing this weekend.  Of course I can’t deny that I have seen The Hunger Games four times already.  I’ll take a pass on Titanic.  I may rewatch it on dvd since it has been many years since I saw it last, just to see if it holds up at all.  Have fun this weekend at the movies!
