This is going to be somewhat of a casual ramble, but welcome to the time of year when Rafe’s head is about to explode. An annual conference this past weekend dominated my time for almost the past week, which is why we pushed the podcast off of Sunday for the week.
Unfortunately, last week was rainy and an (outdoor) commitment I had for last Wednesday was suddenly moved to Monday night, when we were supposed to record this week’s show. I e-mailed the team and we originally planned to move the show to Wednesday night, but between all of my commitments I haven’t been home before 9pm a single night over the past week. That means no watching movies. No watching television. Not much time for more than grabbing a bite to eat and collapsing in a heap to do the same thing tomorrow.
Tonight, I’m home earlier. Instead of recording a show I’ll be spending time updating the website. I have a bunch of video game stories to get up, as well as tonight’s Survivor recap. Hopefully I’ll find time to watch last week’s Person of Interest before tomorrow, and there’s that The Guild finale to shove in as well. Some point before this weekend, I might actually get to watch some horror movies as well.
As for this week’s podcast, Doc Rotten isn’t available to record on Sunday, so we’ll probably be delaying this week’s recording as well. On the positive side, we’ll have so much to talk about that I expect the next episode to be a super-sized 90 minute episode. Our key video game writer (Chris Tallant) and I have been revisiting the idea of Shall We Play a Game, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see that make a comeback soon as well, with a plan to keep it a more regular thing.
In short (too late!): bear with this short slump of low content. We’ll be grinding out regular reviews, recaps, and video game pieces really soon.
