We’re playing things loose for the month of September around here. Over the past few months the Artist of the Month has offered some great movies, but has also offered a daunting task when it comes to time-management. Most of the time we’re racing to get a hold of the movies and get them watched before we have to talk about them on air. If you listen to the past few shows, you’ll hear us missing a movie here or a movie there, which isn’t how we want to run this thing. So, we’re taking a month off to try and regain some balance.
We’ll still talk about some interesting movies over the month as we have shows, but I know at least two Sundays over the next month that we’re going to have to cancel a show, so even if we did have an Artist of the Month, they’d get the short end of the stick.
That said, we have some awesome lineups planned for October (horror flicks selected by our own Doc Rotten) and November (a month I’m particularly excited about). Of course, December is typically our fan-chosen lineup, where we take nominees and let our readers and listeners cast their votes for a popularly selected Artist.
The rest of the year may be figured out, but we don’t plan on getting rid of the Artist of the Month any time soon, despite this month’s break. This year we started accepting sponsors for the Artist of the Month, allowing our readers and listeners to select Artists outside of December for the low price of $20.
