A teenage Peter Parker grapples with both high school and amazing super-human crises as his alter-ego Spider-Man.

Has it really been long enough from the Sam Raimi / Toby Maguire Spidey movies to warrant a reboot? Sure, the third one was a bit of a dud, but the first two movies are among some of the best superhero movies we’ve seen on film, and now the studio is rebooting it with a new cast and approach? I like Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone is a hell of a lot better of a choice for a love interest, but I’m still not convinced there’s enough time has passed to keep people from comparing the great Raimi movies and what Marc Webb is doing here. We’ll find out soon enough.
