If I wasn’t already excited about next year’s Iron Man 2, the new trailer would have done the job. As it is, I was already eagerly anticipating the movie, and this trailer has insured I will be eating up every image, clip, and interview that’s released leading up to the movie’s release.

The trailer shows how little Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark has changed from the first film. This time he’s denying information to the U.S. Government and enjoying the boost in his status becoming Iron Man has given him. I love the shot of him arriving at a party in his Iron Man armor, only to have it removed to reveal Tony in a tux beneath.

At the same time, Tony is not the only focus of the trailer. We are briefly introduced to Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash, who will play one of the movie’s major bad guys. Scarlet Johanssen’s Black Widow briefly flashes on screen, as well as a great shot of the second man in the armor: War Machine.
