This week’s pick of the week should come as no surprise to anyone who has read this site or listened to our podcast in the past. The new Battlestar Galactica won me over quickly and kept me as a dedicated viewer throughout its entire run. Even the between-season webseries were fun to watch, as was the made-for-tv movie Razor. Now Ronald D. Moore is spinning things around on his science-fiction extravaganza, telling the story from the other side with The Plan.

Every week the opening segment of the series reminded us that the Cylons had a plan. Now, after all the secret identities of the Cylons have been revealed, comes a movie that shows what that plan is – where it went right, and where it went drastically wrong.

I’ve not gotten to see the entire movie yet, so this is a bit of a blind pick, but the scenes I have seen have impressed me. Obviously things didn’t go smoothly for the Cylons, who faced a civil war in the midst of the story’s climax, so it’ll be interesting to see the story from their point of view and get a hint of how they intended for things to work out.
